I'm relatively new to the area and have had a hard time finding a salon I like. I have a medium length bob -- I'd like to get some layers razored in, and just a more current, interesting, younger look. I'm in my early 20s, and I'm willing to pay up to $50-60. Washingtonian Magazine did a report on the best hair salons. The article describes them and who they cater to. My daughter absolutely loves The Last Tangle, which I believe is near GW - around 23rd street. My son also got a haircut there, which was fairly expensive, but said it was the best one he ever got. And he usually doesn't care that much about hair.
